1. About this application
Bedtime Stories AI (Hungarian name: Esti Mesék AI) is an iOS application that generates personalised bedtime stories for children using artificial intelligence. The app is intended to be used by a parent or legal guardian. Contact: hello@guessy.hu.
2. Data we do not collect
We do not collect, store or transmit personally identifiable information, device identifiers, location data, usage analytics, crash reports or advertising profiles. No account is required and we never ask for an email address.
3. Data stored on your device
All data is stored locally on your device. This includes child profiles (first name, age, gender, preferences), generated stories, reading history, parent voice recordings and app settings. You can delete everything at any time from the app Settings.
4. Story generation, Google Gemini API
To create a story, the app sends a request to the Google Gemini API. The request contains the child's first name, age, gender, the selected themes, the selected mood and the app language. This is used solely to generate the story text. We do not store this data and we do not link it to an account or a device identifier. Google's processing is governed by its own privacy policy and the Gemini API terms.
If you prefer that your child's real first name never leaves the device, you can enter a nickname or an invented name in the profile. The story is generated the same way.
5. Subscriptions and payments, Apple
Premium subscriptions and all payments are handled exclusively through the Apple App Store. We never receive or store payment details. The subscription renews monthly unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the billing period in your Apple ID subscription settings.
6. Advertising
The app contains no advertising. We do not integrate ad SDKs, ad networks or marketing attribution tools.
7. Children's privacy
We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children. Child profile data is entered by the parent and stored on the device. When a story is generated, this data is sent to the Google Gemini API as described in section 4. Parents should be aware of this before use.
8. Third party services
- Google Gemini API: story generation, per request, with the settings listed above.
- Firebase Remote Config: application configuration, for example service key delivery.
- Apple StoreKit: subscription management, under Apple's policies.
We do not use analytics, advertising or crash reporting services.
9. This website
bedtimestories.hu is a static website. It uses no analytics service, sets no tracking cookies and collects no personal data. There are no external resources: fonts and images are served from this domain. The hosting provider may keep technical logs, such as IP address and request time, for operational purposes.
Links pointing to the App Store carry a campaign tag (the ct parameter, for example ct=web_hero). This lets us see in Apple's aggregated App Store Connect statistics that a download started from the website, and from which button. It is not personal data, it does not identify you, and it does not track you across the site.
